"Just your stomach," he says with a huff as he slips past to get to the kitchen and get back to cooking. The stove relights quickly and the sizzling on the pain starts up soon enough and within a few minutes, Arthur's getting a nice full breakfast plate presented to him, warm and inviting.

John has a plate of his own that he starts eating in between cooking.

"I didn't congratulate you yet on your pairing, incidentally."

Arthur has to try not to chuckle through his mouth at the belated thanks.

"I wasn't expecting it quite so soon, but- well. Nathaniel was the same way, in fact. Permanently paired before we even finished our first month."

"Astarion was pretty quick too, to be fair," he says with a small huff. Though of course he's getting close to a year with Astarion. Probably not where he should go with that. He'll start working on his own eggs.

"Apparently, the Admiral likes to keep us busy."
